Garden Design Day (TWO)
This is a one day course help once a year to introduce you to garden design.
The day starts with coffee and registration at 10am in the main building at Plumpton College. The first part of the day is made up of lectures on the principles of garden design. This shows you how garden design can influence the decisions you make when creating a garden. This will be extended to planting and how you make the choices for plants that make up your garden.
This will be followed by lunch, which is included in the price, consisting of a buffet from the College's canteen washed down with a choice of some very palatable Plumpton Estate wine.
After lunch we will visit two local gardens which will help to illustrate the points put across at the mornings lecture. A minibus will be used or if you prefer you can travel in separate cars.
The day will end up with tea and a resume of the day's activities and a discussion on some of the courses available at Plumpton College which may be relevant to your needs.
Nigel Philips, principal tutor on the garden design courses at Plumpton will lead the day. He is a well respected local Garden Designer and has many years experience of trying to make gardens work.
